Every date, worked out for every year

Do the countdowns reset after the day passes?
Yes. Each countdown rolls over to the next year's date the day after the event, so a countdown page is always counting to an upcoming date.
Which time zone do the countdowns use?
Your own. The day count changes at your local midnight and the live timer counts to midnight at the start of the event day where you are.
Why do Easter, Thanksgiving and the seasons change dates?
Their dates follow rules instead of fixed days. Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November, Easter follows the moon, and the seasons start at the equinoxes and solstices. The countdowns work out the right date for every year.
